Community Outreach Center
 Community policing continues as a goal of the
Police Department. In an effort to better serve our Latino
population, the Police Department has teamed with the McHenry County
Youth Service Bureau, School District 15 and the McHenry County
Latino Coalition to initiate a project to bring a Community Outreach
Center to Garden Quarter apartment complex. The Center will serve
the residents, both children and adults, by offering such programs
as: English as a Second Language, tutoring, parenting classes, child
safety and information sharing between the residents and the
Department. It is our goal to make our neighbors at Garden Quarter
feel welcome in the community and hopefully breakdown any cultural
barriers that may exist.
