The City of McHenry's Human Resources provides internal customer service for the 135 full-time and 7 regular part-time employees currently on staff. In addition to providing assistance with all employee-related matters, the department processes the payroll for all employees.
A fundamental function of Human Resources is recruitment. When a vacancy occurs, the position may be advertised in the Northwest Herald and professional publications. All applications and resumes are kept on file for one year.
