The Wastewater Division maintains and operates the City's two Wastewater Treatment Plants and 19 wastewater lift stations. Their goal is to efficiently maintain these facilities and to produce plant effluents meeting State and Federal standards. The Division regularly performs testing to operate the plant and to report to the State EPA.
They perform mechanical and electrical maintenance for nearly 50 large pumps and motors and dispose of process byproducts in accordance with regulatory agency's rules. They perform plant housekeeping duties as well and assist in snow removal operations.
The Division is supervised by Wastewater Superintendent Russell Ruzicka and Assistant Superintendent Kevin Beggs.
